Operations and Maintenance

The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Program is responsible for overseeing school assets and ensuring a safe and healthy environment that facilitates effective school delivery. The program manages and supervises operations and maintenance school staff, providing leadership in developing and implementing maintenance practices for MFNSS. It directs the daily maintenance schedules and resources necessary to complete tasks efficiently and on time. The program also maintains awareness of provincial and federal codes and regulations and promotes safe workplace practices in compliance with Workplace Health and Safety regulations. To prevent issues, the program implements a preventative maintenance program for all MFNSS facilities and operations. Additionally, it provides support to all MFNSS schools to resolve maintenance and facility issues.
