Principal Orientation Marks Fresh Starts

MFNSS welcomed 6 new Principals and Vice Principals with a first-of-its-kind Principal and Vice Principal orientation on August 20. The meeting brought together new Principals and Principals to familiarize the school leadership with MFNERC and MFNSS principles and operations. Orientation included introductions, an overview of the rich history of MFNERC and MFNSS and an overview of services MFNSS provides along with the four priorities of MFNSS. Service introductions were delivered by each department, where they offered their expertise in Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), First Nations Languages and Cultures, Literacy, Science, Education Technology, Physical Education, Student Services, Private Home Placement, and Multimedia Communications.
MFNSS is proud to welcome new teams of Principals and Vice Principals with strong backgrounds and expertise in Education including Principal Claude Pike and Vice Principal Christohper Llave with Lake Manitoba School, Principal Delonna Pratt and Vice Principal Sreedevi Rajasekharan with Chan Kagha Otina Dakota Wayawa Tipi School, Principal Roberto Romero with Lake St Martin School, and returning Teaching Principal Paula Parisien with Fox Lake School.
In addition to welcoming new principals, MFNSS is excited to welcome Birdtail Sioux First Nation’s school, Chan Kagha Otina Dakota Wayawa Tipi School into the School System for the 2025-2026 school year!
