Pi Day Celebration in Birdtail Sioux First Nation
Pi is often represented numerically as 3.14, though it is an irrational number with no end to its non-repeating digits. The number and symbol represent the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Pi Day, or March 14.
To celebrate Pi Day, Chan Kagha Otina Dakota Wayawa Tipi School organized Pi activities, including a contest to determine the school's Pi King and Queen, Pi digits challenge, classroom-based activities and forming a Pi symbol outdoors, as captured by teacher Reena Singh.
