Culture Days in Bloodvein First Nation

Miskooseepi School Culture Days were held May 20-23. The week kicked off with a bang, Tuesday morning started with an opening ceremony that welcomed community elders, a grand entry with early learners, and remarks from Junior Chief and Council.  The grand entry dancers entered in regalia they made in class, a fitting moment as each class would continue to hold language and culture events and learning sessions throughout the week. 

Teacher Mike West held a gathering for community elders in which they discussed and learned about local sites and practiced immersion in Anishinaabemowin. This gathering was honored with a hearty meal for the attending elders and fellow community members.
